Lillie & I were out in the back garden in our PJ's, dressing gowns and wellie boots by 9am this morning! It was a sunny, yet foggy start to the day, but one not to miss with all the many beautiful spider's webs that were clearly visible due to the damp weather. Amongst the various sizes and locations, we found a massive web with a fairly large spider in its centre. It was either sleeping or laying in wait for its breakfast! This particular spider looked very similar in size and colouring to the one that Lillie & I set free last Tuesday. He/she was first discovered on our hallway ceiling, then had slowly made its way to where we could rescue it from our tabby cat Rocco.
After having breakfast and getting Lillie ready for her Dad's we took a lovely slow walk to our local shop, our main discussion was on how everyday this week the leaves have changed colour and are more noticible on the ground. Of course Lillie cant wait for the pavements to be totally covered for our annual game of kicking up the leaves in our wellies and collecting allsorts to take home to either use for collages, crayon rubbings and pictures. We both enjoy this time of year with many more things to look forward to.
Once my exam is over with in two weeks we will start preparing for Halloween which means making masks and decorations for the house. This year Lillie will be out doing some 'trick or treating' for the first time and is hoping her cousins will join in to. So that should be great fun... Then Guy Fawkes night will be upon us after that! Though Im sure Rocco will be hiding away somewhere for a few nights in early November!
We are enjoying the autumn colours too, we are surrounded by trees where we live so its very beautiful this time of year.
