Yay, December has arrived!

Lillie is back to her usual good health & beginning to get rather excited with the start of our christmas festivities. I think this year will see a change in how she approaches the holiday season, as well as enjoying some new experiences along the way. Before I begin with some of the past week's events, I have uploaded the pic of her before going to a birthday party (22/11/09). Lillie looked really tall to me & quite the little lady when I took this...

Now December is here, we have been busy getting our house looking festive. We made a start last Thursday afternoon in Lillie's room, which required the furniture being moved around (thankfully with Louis' help) in preparation for the 1st of this month. But, late Monday afternoon, after hearing 'please Mummy' many times throughout the day, Lillie managed to talk me into allowing her to do her room a day early! She decorated her own tree, while I placed red tinsel & coloured fairy lights around her bed. Her room looks absolutely beautiful & extra cosy. So much so that she has been spending more time in there these past few days.

On Tuesday morning our festive moods continued. After breakfast & her opening the first door on her calendar, Lillie helped me decorate the living room tree. I carried on well into the afternoon, placing garlands here & there & being as creative as possible! Im saying its all done, but no doubt I will add more & more bits & bobs before the 25th!

Just a few pics Ive taken so far; more will follow as the month goes by!

With Lillie feeling so much better now, she was well enough for Girls' Brigade last night. She really missed not going last week & was eager to get there. Thankfully the rain stayed away, yet it was a very cold evening. However, the wintry weather did not dampen Lillie's spirits whatsoever. On arrival , she was delighted to be told that the Explorers & Juniors were off out to do their Carol Singing for the elderly folk at the nearby residential home. Lillie enjoyed herself so much & was all smiles when I collected her. This coming Sunday will be Lillie's first GB Parade. What with a 'suprise' day out tomorrow, her weekend will be filled with lots of fun.
