Foliage, bark, acorns and glue...

Liilie wanted this pic added - must be the "new top" effect! So have placed this first just for her.

A lovely trip to the park and going for a bite to eat was had by all yesterday. Lillie and I met up with friends and Lillie made two more new ones. She enjoyed gathering things that had fallen from the trees with them. This gave her the idea to start a project, which she begun this morning. A morning that was rainy and blustery outside - yes folks autumn's here!

What Lillie gathered... Oh she also picked up the postman's letter bands too!

Working away...

The finished piece, that was also accompanied by some writing. The sun is made from one of the letter bands - thanks Mr Postie!

While Lillie was working we chatted about allsorts, as you do. The conversation ventured to the Carribean. This brought on the topic of food. An enjoyable subject that we engage in theoretically and practically on a regular basis! Anyway, we've planned a Carribean Food Night! Will mean taking a fun trip to where we can buy what we need. Will involve asking a few questions we may have and of course cooking and eating!

I also began reading Oliver Twist to Lillie today - think it will take a while to get through, with explaining certain things along the way. But, we have all the time in the world to get thrugh it. I must admit that I love knowing Lillie is interested in english literature. Must be in her blood.

Tomorrow, she's back at her dance class, which she can't wait for. And thursday sees the return of GB night. She's very excited about moving up to the juniors this year. Being a junior will mean she gets to do even more cookery - oh that subject of food again!

Talking of food, I best go - need to check on the jacket potatoes in the oven! More rain and wind outside so we're guna snuggle up on the sofa with some comfort food...
