Also this week, she has asked her Nanny for some missing letter words, sums and spellings. I don't request this as something that has to be done, as I prefer to facilitate Lillie's learning. However, if Lillie asks then it's okay for such activities to be covered. They do cover other fun activities though, that require using words and numbers. For example, scrabble, dominoes, chess and writing of various kinds. They've even put a stage play idea to paper, which was lovely seeing it develop. Building camps, playing along to a singing/dance dvd and simply watching tv or a game of hide and seek is mostly part of what they do. And the house is always tidy when I return home after work. Plus I know Lillie has had fun too.
Missing letters for Lillie to work out...

Spellings - think Lillie was clever here with 400!
The weekend has been nice and relaxed so far. Not many household jobs to be doing with (though there's plenty of household jobs that need doing!). I've managed to almost finish my first draft for my EMA. Just the conclusion to write later, then shall edit and submit it. Maybe submission will be tomorrow or Monday. Have till Thursday (noon), then 4 months off before I embark on my final module for my honours. I can't believe I've been with the Open Uni since 2006. Time flies.
Anyway, back to our saturday - we had a lovely lunch, watched some Diddy Dick and Dom mini movies which are simply side-splitting. Well, for me anyway. Lillie hasn't always been that keen on them. But, she's starting to see the funny side of their humour now. We also watched 'Roman Holiday' - another great Audrey Hepburn/Gregory Peck movie. Lillie has obviously been researching A.H - she informed me that this movie was her first major role. She's spot on with that info too. So, this info sharing became more, with a few added facts I told Lillie about A.H' life. Lillie loved the idea that she wished to be a ballerina in her youth. Lillie is a great fan of dancing, so this was ideal chat for her.
