Lillie's finished oil/vinyl paints on canvas. It will eventually take pride of place in a frame and placed on her bedroom wall, when her new room is complete with it's refurb.
Lillie's annual Girls' Brigade Presentation evening went well. She was awarded a badge for 3 years attendance and 3 more for Generosity; Listening/doing and Self-control.

This weekend has been spent relaxing for the most part - Louis visited Friday afternoon. So, we had a great catch up and Lillie attempted to get to sit on Louis' new bike - this one is a 125 so a fair bit bigger than the one he bought last year. I wonder what next year will bring! Though he will have to have motorbike lessons if he wants a faster one than his 125. It wouldn't surprise me if he did!!
Yesterday, Lillie and I went to see The Amazing Spider-man - a great movie. Lillie wants to go see it again and is looking forward to the DVD release, which I'm guessing will be Christmas time. The movie has potential for a sequel too. Can't wait for that.
Today we were up and out early to do the week's shopping, after doing a few household chores. Usually the shopping is done on a Monday, but the week ahead is fairly busy so thought it a good idea to free up some time to avoid mad dashes here and there and beyond! Now Lillie is settled in her room watching a film and I'm in mine doing this post. Think I will continue some more on my family tree and with my Auntie Teresa's help I've discovered more - happy days...... Lillie is still enjoying learning about her ancestry and engaging with the various documents I can access on ancestry.co.uk I have taken out a month's worldwide subscription this study break and that is really helping. So, lots more to discover and great to discuss my findings with Lillie.
*** Note to self - 5 years Home Educating Anniversary in just under 2 weeks - I best arrange something special for Lillie***
