It's definitely a Merry Christmas here...
Just a short post - it's been a busy time but, looks like 2012 will end on a good one... Yay! I'm back at work (though investigations pending where my legs are concerned). It's been fantastic seeing my regular clients and they've been looked after well in my absence. And.... Lillie is sooooo looking forward to Christmas. As am I. We have Louis spending Christmas Eve and Day with us so we've been planning, planning and more planning... Lillie shall also be spending Boxing day to New Year's Eve with her Dad and family. I will miss her but, have work, study and other arrangements planned. Oh, and some lovely lazy mornings, sleeping in on the days I'm not up early for work - bliss!!
Anyway, what's been happening since my last post....?
Lillie had great fun with mostly decorating the tree...
Daylight...
... to Fairylights... Great job Lillie.
We made a lovely festive paper chain, which I've not taken a pic of as yet - Lina gave Lillie the festive paper chain strips. We've made one for the lounge and one still to make for the kitchen. Lillie enjoys being creative and she's very good at what she does even if I do say so myself...
She's also been busy with writing out her Christmas cards - oh that should say the Christmas cards I bought for myself that suddenly seemed to get used up after her using two became twenty plus!! Thank goodness I had written at least some I needed to out...
It was also my Auntie Teresa's/Lillie's Great Auntie Teresa's birthday on the 12 Dec - so last Saturday we invited her over for a birthday lunch. A joint effort with making a spag bol, we bought a lovely cake and placed a candle on it, a happy birthday balloon too, which our Auntie revealed was the first time she had one. The day was a lovely one and I received a lovely bouquet of flowers which I told my Aunt off for as it was her day...
Last week's Girls' Brigade meet saw Lillie and all the girls visit a local residential home for the elderly. The girls sang Christmas Carols and I hear they sang very well. This week's meet is the last one until the New Year. This week ends with a Christmas Party - Lillie can't wait.
With reading The Hobbit to Lillie, she has been patiently waiting for another can't wait moment - the movie to be released. The day finally came yesterday when we got to go. Lillie thoroughly enjoyed it. My verdict is that anyone who hasn't read the book, like I have (on my third time) will probably find it more enjoyable, compared to those who've read Tolkien's story. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good film but, of course one would be critical if they've read the book!
Well, time for a cuppa me thinks - next post soon....
