Race for Life 2013

A truly amazing event - I'm so proud of Lillie for all she achieved today and I'm proud of us as a team for all the money we have raised - So, Cancer, we helped kick your butt this morning...

Colin - survivor

Midge - lost her battle R.I.P
Sylvia - survivor

You're ready to kick Cancer's butt, Lillie...

Approaching the event on Blackheath

Getting nearer!

Arrived! Oh, what an atmosphere...

The warm up area

A Cancer Research UK flower

In the 'Walkers' zone

Start line just ahead - passed it at 10:50

A pink line of joggers/walkers on the horizon line

Random beeps from drivers spurred us ladies on!

What's Lillie thinking, I wonder? I didn't ask either... I sensed they were her own thoughts...

Yay!

We've almost done it, Bambino xx

The finish line - 1 hour and 10 minutes later after passing through when starting!!

A proud moment for my girl - I'm very proud of her too - well done Lillie-Louise xx

Me with my medal too - feeling very proud too...

Going to do it all again next year or maybe 2014 will see it being the 10km option instead, but hey, we're very very happy we achieved the 5km one today :-) Lots of money raised for a very worthy cause...
