Starting with last Friday, Lillie and I went to my sister's after the working day was done. We all had dinner together too, so included my brother-in-law, nephew and two nieces. We ordered a cheeky indian take away - I had a madras, which I'm certain was way hotter to be a madras! But, I ate it all!! The rest of last weekend was spent mostly at home, relaxing and more relaxing!!
The past week has been busy to say the least - Lillie submitted her final assignment for her current home ed course, a Girls' Brigade Thursday meet enjoyed (not one for two weeks now, due to hall being used as a polling station next Thursday and it being half term the week after), overdue library books returned and a game of Monopoly, inclusive of a bet!! Lillie chose to gain £10.00 and I chose the tv remote to be all mine from last Friday evening right through to end of this evening!! Mumma here won!!
The final one for this course
Lillie looking very serious - like a poker face going on!!
The grocery shop was also done and my morning part-time job full - I was informed last Friday via letter that there will be a pay decrease from June 2014. There will be a meeting tomorrow regarding this. I'm not happy at all about this decrease, yet have decided to accept the pay decrease and will continue on with the job I love for a while longer, but I am working towards a career change. One where I am my own boss and work from home. More on this when I've attended a briefing session - I have no date as yet for this; I only made enquiries last Friday via email, so I expect that email will be picked up after this weekend. So, anytime from tomorrow...
Talking of this weekend, Lillie and I have been enjoying the sunshine, although I have been out in it more than Lillie! Lillie has spent time much of her time doing some reading, researching on the internet, listening to music, watching some fav programmes and practising some hair styles. I did capture this from yesterday in the garden when Lillie was being helpful...
Lillie - From finishing one animal story then straight on to another...
A spot of gardening!!
We also watched Mr Drew's Boys on 4OnDemand - it's been an enjoyable program to watch and all the young lad's are very intelligent. It's so sad that their schools before the program had basically written them off. Then in comes Mr Drew who sees their worth and soon enough each lad sees their own worth too. Last episode is next week. We also watched The Island - I can't remember the channel but another programme worth watching. Basically a group of men desserted on island with no food and only water to last no more than 2 days. So, these men have to start their experience with firstly getting a fire going - this took two days to achieve. Thankfully, just in time to collect and boil/filter water before what they were rescued and their journey being no more...
Today was much the same as yesterday after a few chores and then us taking a nice stroll to our local garden centre for some bird feeders and bird food. Oh, and we came home with two more plants! The rest of the day saw plants moving on to larger pots, and a yummy dinner - roast pork with sage accompanied by a salad, baths/hair washes had and then time for more relaxing. It's just turned 10pm and Lillie has come in to my room to say goodnight, I think I will get settled myself now and look forward to the week ahead...
A 'baby' butterfly fluttering around in the mini greenhouse. It managed to find its way out to freedom
Oh, just before I go, Lillie sent off for this...
... She is planning a cake sale in the front garden sometime in the summer :-)
