Anyway, last Monday morning Louis distributed his CVs to various shopping outlets in our local high street. I waited outside each shop for Louis, feeling really proud of him gaining more experience in the big wide world! I ticked off the shops he had left his CV with or made a note for him to apply online. This was mainly for Louis' own reference of knowing where and what... When I returned home - I discovered that I had passed my K260 course. So celebrated in the evening with a bottle of bubbly with my best mate (Lillie's Daddy).
Tuesday was a quiet day for Lillie & I - Lillie was in a completely 'play day' kind of mood so was busy wth building indoor tents, colouring, drawing etc... No structure at all to the day.
Wednesday, Lillie & her Daddy met with Lillie's Nanny - they travelled over to East London to visit Lillie's Great Aunt & Great Grandmother. Lillie's birthday will be coming up soon, so she received some early birthday presents just in case she doesnt see her Great Aunt & Great Grandmother before the 23 of this month. When Lillie got home I needed to pop to the shop and knew the local playground was now open to the public. Lillie was delighted & overjoyed to see it filled with kids, thus confirming that she could finally have a go herself after weeks of waiting patiently!
Yesterday, Louis popped his toolbox in as he has now 'officially' left his apprenticeship placement in Tonbridge. He feels ok but I can tell he will miss training on the job & is anxious about getting a new local placement asap. I know something will turn up soon for him. However, he has it all planned out & is prepared to work doing 'anything' part time at the mo while at college. Hence him making up CVs & distributing them around town last Monday. By yesterday afternoon I was feeling a little unwell. Lillie looked after me well & gave me some peace & quiet which I was grateful for. Our house like many others is so noisy with lots of things going on at once & people coming & going. So it was nice to just draw the curtains and snuggle up on the sofa together.
Woke up this morning feeling much better. Lillie & I took a slow early morning walk to the shop. Lillie has noticed the increased amount of litter on a particular street we walk down. She actually said it makes her cross that people dont put their rubbish in bins and asked how we could make it a cleaner world if this happens. I suggested that when she gets a little older & bigger she will be able to do something about that, by writing letters to our council, as they are responsible as well for keeping our area clean & tidy. Without any hesitation she said. "Dont worry Mummy I will!" So if any council officials read this blog post - be warned as Lillie is a very determined child! lol... When we got home Lillie had her Australian brekky - vegemite on toast, a glass of OJ & a banana, strawberry (home grown) & fairtrade honey smoothie! I can say Lillie loved it & has suggested a Chinese breakfast for next month. Any ideas for this would be welcomed as I shall have to research this one well!
