I do love this time of year - everywhere is still very much alive yet getting prepared for hibernation... On this lovely autumn morning Lillie & I visited Well Hall Pleasaunce
http://www.wellhall.org.uk/ ... We had such a great time! We got surrounded by some very hungry grey squirrels, so we had to make a run for it, lol... I cant believe the increase in these little animals over the last 20 years of my going here! Its the most Ive ever seen! Lillie & I got talking with another family while looking at the ducks - They were very friendly & shared their bread/monkey nuts with us to feed the ducks/squirrels. Lillie & I soon realised the squirrels are completely harmless afterall, lol...

Lillie taking a wee rest!

Mini cave... that reminds me, I must take Lillie to Chislehurst Caves soon!

Rockery/lake... Of course thats Lillie too!

The ducks before feeding time! Then it was panic - which duck would get to eat!
After visiting the Pleasaunce, Lillie & I popped into the Cats Protection League shop for some books - we left with four 'The Wind in the Willows' stories for Lillie & then we called in on a family friend who we havent seen for some time. Mary is in her late 70s & saw my sisters & I grow up, leave home, have kids etc... My Mum lived next door to Mary for over 20 years so Mary knows us well, lol. Its always good to catch up with her...
After dropping some shopping off home, Lillie & I then popped back out to collect some autumn things - twigs, various sizes & colours of fallen leaves & some conkers! This is what we did with our find when we got home...

Lillie's creation... I love the way she has placed these leaves & twigs - the colours work really well together. Once dried it will take pride of place on the kitchen wall...

My creation - once Christmas arrives the twigs will get a dusting of glitter for that festive feel... But now its dinner time - roasted pork & herb sausages topped with roasted red onion, mushrooms, home grown tomatoes & home grown Rosemary. Accompanied with pasta, yellow pepper, more red onion & tomatoes lightly topped with grated mature cheddar....
