With my having an exam last Friday, the week leading up to it Lillie was fantastic with having to entertain herself some of the time. However, we still got to spend quality time together - slow walks out 'n' about, watching DVDs, Deal Or No Deal on TV, reading and general chit chatting - always something to learn with just a chat! So any 'formal' work was not done but thats not an issue to concern ourselves with! After my exam last Friday I collected Lillie from her Dads & we headed into town. I had promised Lillie that we would take a look at the Halloween things & we came home with some great decorations for the house/outdoors! I think I mentioned in a previous post that Lillie will be 'trick or treating' for the first time this year - well she has now been invited to a fancy dress Halloween party which will include venturing out to spook the neighbours, so should be fun! I too have been invited to a Halloween party the night after Lillie's, but not sure if Im going yet. Then again if 'Dracula' attends I might be persuaded, lol...
This week, so far has been a busy one - with Lillie's help, catching up on housework, gardening, washing, ironing etc has been top of our agenda... Oh we took a trip to our local garden centre for some winter flowering plants & Lillie also helped me with preparing a lovely organic beef casserole yesterday - We do love our hearty winter food! What has also been lovely is just chilling out together at the end of the day without having to think about anything! Lillie even notices how relaxed I am once an exam is over with! But its all worth it in the end - anything that is worth doing is never easy is it? Mmmm, I think HEdding fits neatly into that little saying as well! The rest of the week will include getting two new goldfish, probably a little work on numeracy/literacy & ending the week with whatever activity Lillie would like to do.
Well what about next week's activities? Not sure yet what we will be doing, but of course it will still be educational for Lillie and lots of fun with it! Oh, actually Lillie did mention creating her own Halloween decorations to add to the ones we bought & a trip out to see more of Well Hall Pleasaunce http://www.wellhall.org.uk/ Making the most of the daylight before the early evenings start to draw in is never a bad thing either, so thats next weeks agenda already being planned...
Happy days!!
