Oooops! Sorry, no bread for you guys today!

One of the larger Koi Karp who resides in the moat.

One of the childrens' activities - this one organised by the borough's 'Bookstart' group. I read a Paddington Bear story to Lillie while she busied herself with some colouring.

A coloured picture for Lillie's Daddy.

Happy chick.

Time for a song!

Lillie & the 'Balloon Lady'.

Lillie had the opportunity to have her pic taken with one of the several owls on display, unfortunately she lost her confidence... Maybe next year she will be ok.

Lillie made a small donation to the JAMBS Owls to help with their upkeep.
Some goodies that came home with us included a homemade chocolate cake and the rest can be seen below...

Lillie was delighted with her 'Lucky Dip' gift.

This book was written by Edith Nesbit (1858 - 1924) also the author of 'The Railway Children'. She lived within the grounds, now known as Well Hall Pleasaunce from 1899 and was to remain there until 1921. Literary friends such as H.G. Wells & George Bernard Shaw would have been seen amongst the guests at parties hosted by Edith & her husband Hubert Bland during their time at Well Hall. I hope Lillie enjoys reading this book someday & I am sure there will be an occasion when I shall do the same.

The contents of this bag are pictured below.

Before Lillie received her bag of RSPB goodies she entered a competition where she had to match names to pictures of various birds. The charity organiser was very helpful with clues he gave Lillie when she wasnt too sure.
