Unlike last weeks events that prevented the timetable from being followed, the last three days have been like the first week. Already Lillie has become aware of how the day is broken up for various activites. The day usually starts by 9am, with 4 hours (breaks in between) working together on 'formal' work, Lillie's own interests in a particular subject and jobs around the house. Also weekly shopping and any gardening are included during this time and are activities that can aid learning!! Days out on trips can aid learning also... If Lillie wishes to continue on with a particular activity during her 2 hours of free time everyday then that is fine. So far she has chosen not to! Lol... Instead she will play, watch a DVD/TV or hang out with me... Time is also allocated to having our dinner and getting Lillie ready for bed and then actual bedtime which will include reading Harry Potter or watching a DVD until lights out by 8pm!
So far this week Lillie has bought a 'Starting French' book & CD. We had such fun covering some words Lillie already knows as well as learning some new ones, especially words relating to clothing. Lillie finds 'le chapeau' (hat) and 'le pantalon' (trousers) amusing words! I think its the pronounciation that makes her giggle! We also had an interesting and comical discussion on items we would take to a 'desert island' - of course a Harry Potter story was the one book Lillie would take! Mid afternoon, my K202 course books arrived, as usual Lillie helped me unpack the box then she turned the box into a bed for her teddies! Today Lillie made a collage of a bird in a nest - if Louis' phone works as it should then I shall upload a pic asap... (I must invest in a digital camera or update my own mobile phone!) Lillie also painted a fairy pic I drew for her which is now on her bedroom wall! We made a pizza which was delicious of course! And now Lillie is sleeping so Im off to do a little more K225 revision while the house is still - exam is in 15 days!!
