Woop woop!

This week saw Lillie complete her reading the 'Oxford Reading Tree' flashcards http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0198384513/ref=sib_rdr_dp There are 31 pairs of high freqency words in this set, which also offers suggestions for four games. However, Lillie only played two, those being 'snap & pairs!' Not only can Lillie now read all the words from this set but she can confidently spell the two letter words verbally & in written form. She shall move on with spelling the three/four letter words using both techniques at her own pace too. These are not the only words Lillie can read, spell and write as others words she knows have been shown in previous postings.

We have also covered some more science discussions taken from the CGP Key Stage 1 Study Books http://www.cgpbooks.co.uk/predefined.asp?strAccntType=ATPRIVATE as well as worked on some maths from this educational book brand. They are a help to me with generating some ideas as well as provide Lillie with some formality regarding the various approaches to learning. On the occasions that we do take a more formal approach to a subject actually confirms how much Lillie is achieving & how much her brain absorbs knowledge when we go with the flow & do what interests Lillie at any given time.

Well today is Red Nose Day & Lillie has been wearing her Deeley Boppers on her head, eaten Red Nose Day chocolates & has put on a Red Nose, but she hasnt kept the nose on because its uncomfortable for her! I totally get where she is coming from! What she doesnt know is that I am about to go inflate the Red Nose Day Whoopee Cushion to place under her duvet. Hopefully I will manage getting her to jump on her bed tonight and that she hits the right spot. Im sure many of you will know what will happen if she hits the target! I know I will probably be on the floor laughing the big kid that I am!!
