Numbers!

Lillie will ask to work with numbers! She is very different to me there! I hated mathematics as a child. I was the reader & writer of the house! However, I am pleased Lillie enjoys her numeracy activities. She has worked on simple addition using numbers 1 - 10 & has been introduced to subtraction using the same numbers. Mental arithmetic is useful & can be used anywhere at anytime! We use exercise books also, which helps Lillie with concentration & we incorporate our own ideas using 3D objects as a way to confirm what is written down. Working with money has also been introduced as Lillie is always asking, 'how much does this cost Mum?' So playing shops is always fun! Though her prices would definitely put the supermarket chains out of business very soon!!
