Today was a very slow start for Lillie & I. We didnt get up till 11am! But we soon caught up with the day! With recently sowing our seeds, we checked on them to see how they were coming along. To my suprise the mustard cress seeds are growing very well. Lillie was pleased too, as she knows that the mustard cress will end up in a sandwich! As for the tomato plants, no signs of tiny shoots yet, though they are meant to take 8-10 days to germinate, so I will keep checking & praying!
As with Easter soon upon us, I thought it would be nice for Lillie to make some cards. I dug out one I made as a little person back in the 70s! I created a template from it & Lillie happily decorated a card for her Daddy. (See above pics).
After that Lillie noticed a new icon on Cbeebies tv regarding 'Carrie & David's Popshop'. Naturally we investigated! Lillie was overjoyed with a few songs & dances to join in with. I grabbed Lillie's toy microphone & she sang & danced along with Carrie, David, Riff & Co while I recorded her on my mobile phone. I shall get my son Louis to upload one of the recordings very soon!
Then lunchtime, which was a little later than usual due to our extended lay in lol... Now Lillie is chilling out on the sofa or on the lounge floor watching her programmes... This will give me a chance to add to this blog, prepare for my study sesh tonight & think about starting dinner...
Well our lay in didnt affect our day of having fun - with a little literacy, history, biology, PE, ICT, RE, music & art being learnt along the way! Oh not forgetting some Home Economics when I get Lillie to help me later to unload the washing machine & hang the clothes on the airer :O)
