Remember, remember the fifth of November

Despite Lillie feeling unwell for the past week, she still got into the spirit of Guy Fawkes night. After eating a wholesome winter's meal, Shepherd's Pie and wearing our pyjamas underneath our coats and scarves we had a little sparklers display in the back garden. Lillie had a great time of it and even got to see and hear other fireworks lighting up the night's sky before we returned to the warmth of our house with Lillie enjoying a nice mug of Horlicks before bedtime.

Prior to the evening, I told Lillie a watered down version of why people celebrate the 5th of Noevember with fireworks. She was quite fascinated and has even asked me to take her to see the Houses of Parliament when the weather is warmer. So, that should be a fun day out in the future.
