A busy start to the day commenced with some chores - washing and ironing laundry, finally the taking down of a small christmas tree and decs/putting up a One Direction poster and not knowing what to do with 3x One Direction 2013 calenders in Lillie's room, getting clothes laid out for the start of a new week, some other lighter household jobs ticked off , baths and hair washes done early today and preparing a roast dinner - pork topped with onions and herbs, roast potatotes, sage and onion stuffing, yorkshire pudding, fresh carrots, turnip, broccoli and brussel sprouts followed by apple and blackberry crumble. Just what we need in this cold, snowy weather we are expecting overnight.
Louis arrived around half past one this afternoon - we had a catch up chat and a giggle about him dressing up as 'Shaun the Sheep' for a 21st birthday party he attended last night (pic at end of post). We had intended on playing some board games this afternoon - Monopoly and Chess, but time did not permit it as Lillie was happy playing on the Wii when Louis arrived, so like the good brother he is, he helped Lillie progress further with The Legend of Zelda. She's had this game since Christmas 2011 and is always happy for his guidance or watching him play to pick up tips. She also received another Wii game for Christmas just gone - a second Harry Potter game. I think she wants to complete Zelda before she starts more platform games.
We sat down to dinner after and by the time we had got the dishes done, had eaten dessert and Lillie had Face Timed her Dad and step-brother on her iPod it was time to start thinking about settling down for bedtime for Lillie. I suggested an early night after a late one Friday and last night. She did not object and asked me to switch off her fairy lights and DVD when I checked in on her. She is now soundly sleeping. I am watching the end of a program on Channel 4 as I write this post - The Hotel - it's quite humourous and clear to me this hotel is not quite managed right but I can't help smiling at the team who run the Grosvenor Hotel in Torquay.
Louis is on his new iPhone5 and I can tell is looking forward to me saying goodnight shortly - he has to be up very early in the morning to be at work for 6am. Just when my alarm clock will be waking me from my slumber and telling me to get ready for work. I also have my hospital appointment tomorrow afternoon for an EMG - I'm doing well with not thinking about it. I hear it hurts!! Oh, well I shall just focus on my clients prior to the appointment and then focus on getting home to my offsprings en route to the hospital and during the procedure. Although, if this weather prediction is accurate, I shall be rebooking the appointment - I don't want to get stranded too far from home if London Transport starts to fail!!!
Well that's me done now - time for a cuppa and snuggle up in my cosy warm bed with my book until my eyes say no more.... One final thing, to smile again at my boy in his 2nd fancy dress costume in such a short space of time. Last time he was dressed as Mario from Mario Bros!!
