Lillie enjoys the interactive exercises followed by some quizzes. She can successfully accomplish Key Stage 2 and 3 areas of her choice. So, this mix actually does kind of suggest that each child does work at their own interest pace and ability, so why do schools still set key stages for ages and follow a class plan? I understand from the teacher's perspective with having large class numbers, but to me surely it would be much more enjoyable for a school teacher to witness individual kids enjoying everything they work on and individual progress being far more easier because it's less tense compared to when a lesson is set and planned more rigidly so to speak. Rant over!!

Now for the Fire Safety Project that we started yesterday with a discussion on kitchen safety regarding fire, evacuation in the event of a fire, some to do's and not to do's in the event of oil igniting in a pan and why we keep pan handles away from the edge of hobs. Lillie and I have spoken about these things at various times, especially when cooking together. But this morning we have started a project folder.

Lillie also completed some fire safety quizzes and did very well too. This moved on to checking our smoke alarm, creating a smoke alarm log book, fire exit signs and a fire assembly point sign for upstairs reasons.
